About The Organizers
Kelsey O. Daniels is an artist organizer baddie scholar from South East San Diego and founder of Black Dream Experiment, a creative universe dedicated to exploring dreamwork as an ancestral, wellness, and liberation practice. With a background in poetry and community organizing, Kelsey creates transformative spaces that invite individuals to connect, rest, and reimagine their futures.
Maharani Peace is the founder of Origin Root Work, an organization dedicated to holistic self-care, guided by the four pillars of emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. As a seasoned Council Facilitator, Self-Care Coach, and Sound Healer, Maharani creates space for Folx to reclaim their voice and power through culturally responsive practices, indigenous storytelling communication techniques, and compassionate support, fostering a deep sense of self, community, and belonging.
Together, Kelsey and Maharani are passionate about fostering inclusive spaces that center under-resourced communities, including Black, LGBTQ+, and disabled individuals. Through their collaboration on Shea Butter Sundays, they invite participants to engage in collective self-care, creativity, and community-building while promoting holistic wellness practices that create a ripple effect of positive change. Join them in a journey toward rest, rejuvenation, and empowerment!
