Dreaming @ Shea Butter Sundays: A Sacred Space for Self Care and Collective Nourishment

I’ll be presenting my dream baby (that I’m raising with my good friend Maharani Peace) Shea Butter Sundays to the world this month and I am so excited! Please please please spread the word and come through to this nourishing space curated for self and collective care.

Tickets start at $25 and can be found HERE

About Shea Butter Sundays

Shea Butter Sundays is a collaborative dream space curated by Black Dream Experiment (Kelsey O. Daniels) and Origin Root Work (Maharani Peace) where healing is embraced as a radical, sacred, and collective journey.

This worldbuilding project invites you to slow down, replenish, and imagine what it looks like to collectively move from a space of rest and ease.

Join us in this fluid drop in space to connect, create, play, and explore—with art activities, day dreaming activations, somatic movement, jam sessions and more!

What To Expect:

Shea Butter Sundays is intentionally curated to be a fluid drop in space. Feel free to come for a few hours or stay the whole time and:

  • Participate in art activities

  • Play games

  • Explore books & various tools for inspiration and revelation from the dream library

  • Swap recipes, remedies, and rituals for self-care

  • Join a facilitated somatic movement and collective daydreaming activation from 2 – 3:30 PM

  • Close the space out with a Melanated SoundScape & Jam

  • Receive your own personal container of shea butter with affirmation because the revolution will be nourishing!

Sliding Scale Pricing Model

Your support helps sustain Kelsey O. Daniels and Maharani Peace —two full-time creatives dedicated to bringing wellness, dreamwork, and healing to our communities.

Tickets start at $25, and all proceeds go directly to Kelsey and Maharani’s work. If you have the means to contribute more, it creates space for us to offer accessible pricing to others who may need it. Your generosity helps us keep this a space where everyone can access collective care.

If cost is a barrier to joining, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email at SheaButterSundays@gmail.com to discuss mutual aid options. We're committed to making Shea Butter Sundays accessible for all!

Thank you for supporting this work and building a space of rest, ease, and care.

Facilitating "Liminal: Writing Our Way Through Life's Messy Middles"

I’ll be facilitating a writing space called "Liminal: Writing Our Way Through Life's Messy Middles" I’m extremely excited to be convening a writing space in San Diego again. It’s been too long and most of the time it’s with an organization for a conference so doing something for the public feels extra special!

Tickets are a sliding scale of $20- $40 and can be found HERE

About Liminal:

Join me at Oya Art Gallery & Boutique for an evening of creativity and self-reflection. This event is about embracing life’s in-between moments and finding beauty in the chaos. Through writing exercises and group discussions, we'll explore how to navigate these messy middles with grace and resilience. Whether you're an experienced writer or just trying something new, this space welcomes all who want to explore life's complexities.

This is not a craft-focused workshop; the writing will be unrestricted and self-directed. You know what needs to be said, and this space is about giving yourself permission to go there. The only "requirement" is to offer yourself grace and refrain from judgment.

Each session begins with a collective breath and check-in, followed by engaging with media (a poem, song, or excerpt) to prompt introspection and discussion. After a few quick brainstorming prompts, we’ll write through fear, uncertainty, and the "durings," focusing on the love we wish to embody and bring into the present.

There will be an opportunity to share in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, set self-care intentions, and close with a breath, leaving open the possibility of re-entering with more peace.

Sliding Scale Pricing

A sliding scale is used to encourage people to pay according to their available resources. Those with greater financial privilege contribute more, allowing those with less access, to pay according to their means. This allows me to sustain its services while making accessibility as broad as possible.

The highest dollar cost ($40) reflects the true cost of the workshop while offering spaciousness between $20 and $40 creates room for those who may not be able to access that in this climate to participate. Please refer to the attached image to reflect on where you fall on the spectrum.

If $20 still presents a financial burden I have 2 mutual aid scholarships in exchange for day of support available. Please email me at HeyLove@KelseysHere.com for more information. .

Payment can be made via Venmo/CashApp/PayPal at KelseLiv (Please include LIMINAL in the payment description) or in cash day of. If you'd like to arrange alternative payment via Zelle or Apple Pay please reach out directly.
